When the float is moving up by the buoyancy force, metal ball is rolling to downwards and operates the micro switch. When float ball is in the air, it is heading downwards. But when the liquid lift up the float, the metal ball as shown figure1., roll downwards and this rolling force touches the micro switch on. Reversely, when the liquid drained, float is again remain in air, metal ball rolling to downwards also to micro switch off. This micro switch contact operates various pumps, lamp or buzzer.
